Jerry Fries
We lost a great friend and fine person when Jerry Fries passed. For those of you who do not have long histories with the Montana Men's Foundation, you may not have had the pleasure of meeting Jerry. I certainly don't know his whole history with our organization, but he was a key part of organization in the late 90s and first few years of this century. During his tenure as president, our organization flourished, but he always worked in a quiet way and most of us did not know how much he did for our organization. More recently his interests turned Dances of Universal Peace and we saw less of him although he remained active with the Bozeman men's group.
The last time I saw Jerry, he popped in unexpectedly at a winter gathering at Big Creek Cabin where he added his humanity and his humor to our circle one night. Then he left abruptly in the morning on another mission without a word. Those of us who knew him will sorely miss him. Those of us who didn't know him may not know what they missed but will still benefit from his legacy with men's work.
